Transparency

The Westminster Foundation for Democracy is committed to open access to information. Transparency is a crucial element of WFD’s accountability to the UK public. We aim to provide relevant information regarding how we make decisions, where we spend our money and the way we manage our programmes available to you.

Consistent with this commitment we provide a range of information about the management and operations of WFD on our website. WFD is dedicated to proactively providing information about our work at both the corporate and programme level.

A key part of WFD’s work is developing parliaments mechanisms for financial oversight and scrutiny. Transparency and access to information is at the heart of this process. As a public body, WFD wants to lead by example and provide open access on how we operate.

If you are unable to find the information you require on our website, you can make a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). FOIA is enforced by the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), an independent body, and WFD strives to comply with the recommended publication scheme. We aim to comply with all FOIA requirements unless there is a very good reason not to.
