Anti-Corruption SME Required for Bangsamoro

November 13th, 2020

As part of our ongoing Legislative Scrutiny Masterclass series for the Members of Bangsamoro Parliament, WFD is seeking to engage a Subject Matter Expert to design and deliver a session on the role parliaments can play in fighting corruption as a means to strengthen good governance and build public confidence.

The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is at a critical stage in its journey to democracy; as it transitions from conflict to stability and as the democratic institutions take shape, the challenges on the road ahead remain numerous. Some of the key challenges that the Bangsamoro Transition Authority  (BTA) and the Parliament must address during the transition period relate to laying the foundations of a system of governance that is open, transparent and focuses on delivering services for the benefit of the citizens. As priority legislations are being lodged and passed in the Parliament, it is imperative that the BTA and the Parliament consider the intended and unintended risks of corruption contained in the legislation and proactively review draft laws to curtail these risks.

Please refer to the detailed ToR for further information.

How to Apply:
