About

The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Democracy in the World (APPG) is a cross-party group made up of MPs and Peers with an interest in democracy and international development.

The APPG is run in partnership with the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), which provides administrative support and expert advice to the group.

The group will host regular events in Westminster, which are open to MPs, non-governmental organisations and academics interested in international democracy support. The Parliamentary group will help to raise awareness of WFD’s work among parliamentarians.

Co-Chair: Andrew Bowie MP (Conservative)
Co-Chair: Lyn Brown MP (Labour)
Vice Chairs: Chris Law MP (SNP), Lord Stunell (Liberal Democrats), Emma Little Pengelly (DUP) and Hywel Williams (Plaid Cymru)
