Call for Observers

WFD is looking for short-term observers for ODIHR Election Observation Missions to Serbia’s presidential and early parliamentary elections, as well as Hungary’s parliamentary elections and referendum.

WFD is now initiating the application and selection process. 

To be considered as a Short-Term Observer (STO), you must be available over the following dates (indicative):

  • Departure to Belgrade and Budapest 28 March 2022 
  • Departure from Belgrade and Budapest 08 April 2022            

As per recommendations from ODIHR, we will only be proposing candidates based on their full availability for the entire period of the mission.

If you would like to be considered, please submit your interest by completing the online form indicating the country you are applying for.

The deadline for applications is Sunday, 06 March 2022 (23:59 GMT).

Prospective observers are required to create a personal account in the OSCE/ODIHR Election Expert Database, fully complete/update their profile, and share it with WFD.  
It is mandatory that you are also registered with the ODIHR/OSCE election expert database and that this information is kept up to date. 

The selection process will be finalised by 7th March and successful candidates will be contacted shortly after this date. 

If you have not heard from us by 10th March, you have not been selected. 

Please note that only British nationals are eligible to apply, and the working language of the mission will be English. Therefore, it is a requirement of the post that the candidate has fluent written and spoken English (C1 level).
