In October 2021 Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) was appointed as the sole focal point for secondment of UK election observers to OSCE/ODIHR EOMs by the UK Government. As part of our appointment, we are committed to strengthening the services, performance and experience that we provide to Observers themselves as well as to ODIHR as the receiving organisation.

To that end WFD offers a new online Short-Term Observer (STO) training to allow as many interested observes as possible to participate. The STO training is suitable for people who have not participated in short-term election observation before or who have participated in 1-2 STO missions.

The online training will take place from Monday the 21st of February 2022 to Friday the 25th of February 2022 for 90 minutes each day. On the completion of the course, you will receive a certificate. To accommodate different working patterns and allow for as many people to choose to participate WFD will offer two identical courses of 5x90 minute sessions. As the courses are identical you will only need to sign up for one course.

Monday the 21st – Friday the 25th from 08:30-10:00 UK time
Monday the 21st – Friday the 25th from 16:00-17:30 UK time
