Operating directly in more than 30 countries and territories across the world, we are helping to make political systems fairer, more inclusive, and more accountable. We do this by working with parliaments, political parties, organisations responsible for elections, and civil society.

Global Equality Project

Our programme with Kaleidoscope Trust works in 18 countries and territories across Africa, the Caribbean, Asia, and the Pacific to strengthen the inclusion of women and girls, LGBT+ people, and other people with intersecting identities and experiences in democratic processes.

WFD supports the Coalition of Women MPs from Arab Countries to combat violence against women.

Western Balkans Democracy Initiative (WBDI)

The Western Balkans Democracy Initiative (WBDI) works with eight parliaments, public institutions, political parties and civil society organisations across six countries to improve representation of women, young people and persons with disabilities in political processes that impact on their lives.

WFD is working to help create an environment that better enables politically-active women to participate and exercise leadership in politics across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries.
