For us, democracy means upholding human rights, the peaceful resolution of conflict, and equal political participation of all people. We hope that the UK government’s recognition of the State of Palestine is a step towards resolving a catastrophic conflict which has profound implications for efforts to support democracy and human rights everywhere, for everyone.
