In the wake of the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025, Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) invites you to a powerful and timely conversation grounded in the latest report: “The gendered impact of the Russian full-scale invasion on the priorities of Ukrainian MPs’’.

As Ukraine navigates the challenges of wartime governance and long-term reconstruction, the report reveals that Ukrainian MPs are grappling with shifting priorities due to the ongoing war, with a strong focus on security, immediate humanitarian and human security needs, and the challenge of ensuring gender equality, inclusion and transformational approaches in recovery efforts that respond to diverse needs of all segments of the population.

This event will bring together Ukrainian parliamentarians, civil society leaders, and international experts to:

  • Present key findings from WFD’s research on the gendered impact of war on priorities of Ukrainian MPs.
  • Promote inclusive, gender-transformational recovery in line with whole of society approach: Highlight opportunities and barriers for embedding gender equality and intersectionality in Ukraine’s reconstruction, drawing on MPs’ experiences and recommendations.
  • Foster dialogue between stakeholders: Create a platform for MPs, civil society, and international partners to exchange views and recommendations following the URC2025.
