Karabo Lerato Khakhau

At 25, Karabo is South Africa's Youngest Member of Provincial Legislature. She was elected as a Member of the Free State Legislature in May 2019. In this Legislature she serves in the Infrastructure Development Portfolio Committee where she is the Democratic Alliance Spokesperson for Roads, Transport, Youth, and Public Works & Infrastructure.

Prior her election, she was elected as the SRC President of the University of Cape Town in November 2017. She also served as the Branch Chairperson of the Democratic Alliance Students Organisation (DASO) at the same university, and was the DASO Western Cape Constituency Chairperson.
