Airlie Taylor

Airlie is our Head of the Middle East and North Africa region and joined WFD in April 2021. She has overall responsibility for the region and is part of WFD’s leadership team.

Prior to joining WFD, Airlie worked for 15 years in the international humanitarian and development sector for organisations including the British Red Cross, ActionAid and Plan International UK. During this time she lived and worked in Palestine where she led resource mobilisation, and in Myanmar, where she headed up a consortium programme on disaster risk reduction. Airlie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Nottingham and a Master’s degree in Global Politics and Human Rights from the University of Glasgow.
