Seeking hotel services for workshop in Algeria

WFD is looking for a hotel in Algiers to host a two-day workshop focused on strengthening institutional communication and enhancing the visibility of parliamentary action.

Location

Background 

As part of its partnership with the Council of the Nation, Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) will organise a two-day workshop focused on strengthening institutional communication and enhancing the visibility of parliamentary action. This activity falls under Activity 2.1 of the programme and will bring together 26 participants, including parliamentary communication staff, advisors, and institutional outreach officers. 

Dates of the activity 

Sunday 18 and Monday 19 May 2025. 

Venue requirements 

The venue must be a hotel located in Algiers, easily accessible from the Council of the Nation. It should offer a professional setting for workshops and high-quality catering services. 

Required services 

The selected hotel will be expected to provide the following: 

a. Meeting room: 

  • Conference room for 26 participants from 08:30 to 16:00 on both days. 
  • Layout: U-shape or rectangular. 
  • Equipment: projector, screen, flipchart, notepads, pens, basic sound system. 
  • Stable Wi-Fi connection. 
  • No active surveillance cameras or recording devices in the meeting room. 

b. Catering: 

  • One lunch per day for 26 participants (starter – main course – dessert + bottled water). 
  • One morning coffee break per day: tea, coffee, milk, juice, pastries, biscuits. 
  • Coffee, tea, and bottled water available throughout the day. 

c. Additional services: 

  • Clean and accessible restrooms near the meeting room. 
  • Hotel staff support for logistics and setup. 
  • Clear signage directing participants to the venue. 

Financial conditions 

The hotel is requested to submit a detailed financial offer, including: 

  • Daily cost of the meeting room rental. 
  • Per-person cost for lunch. 
  • Costs related to coffee breaks and continuous beverage service. 

Payment will be made by bank transfer upon receipt of an invoice and confirmation of satisfactory delivery of services. 

Submission of offers 

Interested hotels must submit their proposals (detailed quote + service description) no later than 6 May 2025 to the following email address: karima.kassi@wfd.org. 

Evaluation criteria 

Proposals will be assessed based on: 

  • Value for money. 
  • Quality of venue and catering. 
  • Experience hosting similar institutional workshops. 
  • Capacity to meet all logistical and service requirements.
