Country Director, Sierra Leone

Diamond joined WFD in 2019 as Programmes Coordinator in Sierra Leone. Currently, he is Sierra Leone’s Country Director. He leads WFD programmes from WFD’s offices in the Sierra Leone House of Parliament. Diamond holds a bachelor’s degree in development studies and a master’s degree in sustainable development from the University of Makeni. He recently received an Advanced Certificate in Post Legislative Scrutiny from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London.

Prior to joining WFD, Diamond was an active member of the Sierra Leone media space, where he worked with various media outlets in diverse capacities. Diamond has also been in active development programme with key UN agencies and international non-governmental organisations (INGOs) delivering work around youth empowerment, health and humanitarian emergencies, and communications for development. He continues to work with and support organisations, causes, and communities in the promotion and protection of human rights, especially for youth, women, and persons with disabilities. He is an active advocate for democracy and good governance.
